Media interest – It begins

As I said in my last post, we are quickly approaching our recording session. This is happening at the end of the month and we plan to record all eight episodes in a massive two day session. It will be hard work but I know we will come out the other end smiling and laughing.

Our wonderfully talented background and sound effects dude – Pete Bayliss of Jamyama – was interviewed for his local paper, the Gwent Gazette.

In this interview he talks about his new music and his company, and as a wonderful ending to a wonderful interview he mentions us!

Yes, that’s right. We have been mentioned in a newspaper. This is real, people. There are real live people, out there in the real live world reading the words ‘Supermarket Matters’. How cool is that?

Very.

I know this very lovely person called Gemma. We met when I was in my third year of college – we had a few lessons together. I was (and still am) a geek. I am fairly sure she looked at me and decided within the first couple of seconds to take me under her wing.

From that first meeting there was some social chatter and a gentle introduction to her many friends. Then came my first invite to a house party – and I mean first invite ever. To say that I was nervous, scared and worried would have been an understatement. Gemma had a lot of patience with me and I went. I went to a house party… where I drank so much I was sick in the garden – a lot. It was while I was being sick that I was discovered by Gemma and guided back through the house and to bed.

She cared that much about me – someone she had only just met – to make sure I was okay and send me to bed.

Our friendship grew from that sicky start and she ended up at the same university as me a year after I started.

We stayed friends. Good friends. The kind where we could spend ages away from each other but know it would be all the same when we met again. Which is what happens with us.

This wonderful friend has a wonderful blog. And, to my eternal pride and gratitude she decided to write a post about me and Supermarket Matters.

So, as a bit of an ego boost for me – and to introduce you to the wonderful writings and musings of my friend – I give you:

Scriptorius logos – her blog

Scriptorius logos on Supermarket Matters – her post relating to Supermarket Matters.

Flattr this!
